Night for Networking (N4N) is a free evening event for job-seekers with disabilities and the recruiters who want to meet them. N4N provides a focused yet comfortable atmosphere, so we make sure to include food, drinks and live acoustic music. It's all about person-to-person connections that can lead to mutually beneficial employment and internship opportunities.
Each year we make improvements to the event, often based on attendee feedback. The momentum and growth of this event over time has been phenomenal. Last year over 400 attendees participated, including recruiters from 43 local businesses.
- We will have attendants available at the event to assist job-seekers who are blind, who experience severe social anxiety, or have need of extra support. Please indicate in this registration form if you would like this type of assistance during the event.
- Uber has offered free rides to/from the event. Please check our event website soon for details.
- Our program is changing this year!
Fewer presentations. Many wonderful speakers have graced the N4N podium over the years, including city commissioners, OHSU leaders and even a Portland Trail Blazer. While we love the celebrity support, our goal is to maximize networking opportunities for everyone at the event this year.
Break-out sessions. The 2016 program includes break-out sessions in which recruiters will group thematically in smaller, adjacent spaces. The goal is to more directly facilitate targeted recruiter-candidate interactions. Before and after the break-out sessions, all attendees will be able to network as one large group, as we have done in past years.
We look forward to meeting you at the event! Please check our N4N webpage for more information. We have also included a few FAQs below. See you soon!
