Event description

Description

Nickelodeon Animation Studios is coming to SVA to give students a master class on a new series, Butterbean's Cafe and how to break into the Animation industry. There will be two speakers sharing their insights. Ariel Goldberg oversees Nickelodeon Animation’s Recruitment efforts, and is responsible for hiring the studio’s 2D/3D artists, writers, directors, editors, and production crews. He will be discussing best practices for putting together resumes, portfolios, and demo reels; how to make a successful impression in interviews and email correspondence; and how to network with industry professionals. Mark Salisbury is multiple Emmy award winning Director at Nickelodeon Animation Studios. He is currently the supervising director for Butterbean’s Cafe, set to debut in 2018. Last year, he finished up his work as the series director, storyboard supervisor and editor on the multiple Emmy and Annie award winning series Bubble Guppies. The presentation will be structured as a conversation – so come prepared with questions!

This event is open to all SVA students and alumni. Registration is required. Seating is limited, so arrive early.
