This course prepares students for the National Institute of Certified Engineers and Technicians (NICET) Level 1 Certifications, a nationally recognized and industry-wide accepted program in the field of Highway Construction Inspection. The NICET Certifications are most required by local and state jurisdictions and by federal agencies. The National Institute of Certified Engineers and Technicians has recognized our institution as an official training provider for NICET Certifications.

Engineering technicians responsible for inspection functions on highway construction projects will get the most out of this course. The program's scope includes field inspection and testing procedures; their applications to various construction activities, equipment, and products; general work zone operations; interpretation of contract plans and specifications; project record keeping and reporting; and supervisory functions.

Students attend the class live from home; the course structure is the same as an in-person class. This option provides a classroom experience but benefits from not traveling to and from the campus.

Apply mitigation techniques and newly developed procedures and practices
