Ni más / ni menos
Overview
What happens when invisible fault lines shift beneath our feet? Ni más / ni menos is a bold new interdisciplinary performance by Abrepaso Flamenco that explores the struggle for balance in an increasingly fractured world.
Featuring original music by internationally acclaimed composer and multi-instrumentalist Adam Ben Ezra, this stripped-down, emotionally raw work builds on the critically praised A Periplum (2023). It continues the innovative collaboration between Felise Bagley, celebrated contemporary dancer and founding member of GroundWorks DanceTheater, and Alice Blumenfeld, a national leader in flamenco’s evolution.
Together, they create flamenco for the 21st century—rooted, but not bound. Free of stereotypes. Stark, intimate, and electric. Their shared choreographic language blurs the lines between forms, bringing the tension and tenderness of real human dialogue to life through movement and sound.
Ni más / ni menos invites audiences into a world where balance is never still, where the push and pull of internal and external forces reveals the power of presence, communication, and surrender.
