Join Lauren Chiarello (Founder, @ChiChiLifeNYC) + Julia Sokol (Founder, SassClass + xixi) + like-minded, passionate women for a magical afternoon of movement and personal + professional development workshops. We'll recharge + reset for an epic 2018! Fuel + goodies provided by Up Mountain Switchel, LUNA, Living Juice, Bare Snacks + Women's Health Magazine.

This dynamic afternoon will support a women's nonprofit, Hearts of Gold. Hearts of Gold helps homeless women + children to become confident + self-sufficient as they prepare to transition out of New York City shelter system to permanent homes.

Movement Class Descriptions

3:00pm // Pilates Fusion with Lauren Chiarello

Pilates Fusion is a dynamic core strength class inspired by Pilates, Barre and Yoga. We'll focus on arms, thighs, glutes and abdominals -- tailored to YOUR needs! During this energizing class, you'll tap into your inner athlete, find grace and unleash razor-sharp determination.

Lauren Chiarello is the founder of Chi Chi Life which melds her three passions: fitness, event production, fundraising and cancer advocacy. She is a 2x cancer thriver, fitness instructor, marathoner and event producer who pours her heart and soul into each project she touches. @ChiChiLifeNYC

3:30pm // Yoga with Whitney Tucker

Embodying Stability, Capacity and Vision: This multi-level yoga class will focus on improving neurological function and restoring balance within the participants. Using theoretical and practical principles from the Katonah yoga tradition, participants will learn way to balance strength, flexibility and stability through the practice of yoga.

While dancing professionally, Whitney Tucker's love of movement led her to certifications in yoga. Pilates, and various strength training modalities. You can find her teaching privates, classes and leading retreats for all sorts of individuals. @whitneytucker1

4:00pm // SassClass with Julia Sokol

SassClass is an experience designed for women to connect to their fierce, sensual, and playful feminine energy and express it through dance and performance. In this workshop, you'll be guided in learning a short piece of sassy dance choreography. Prior dance experience not needed! Beginners are welcome & encouraged to join.

Julia Sokol is the founder of SassClass - dance for the female body and soul - and xixi - a space for women to create, connect, and celebrate. With these ventures, Julia combines her corporate background in marketing with her passions for dance, community and connection. Julia strives to help women tap into their fullest self-expression, and she brings a sense of free-spirited playfulness to everything she does.

4:30pm // Meditation with Ko Im

How do we "refresh" the mind, body and soul? Ko will help lead you through a meditation to download and detox with breathwork and body mindfulness with loving-kindness meditation. Join to reflect, regroup and restore with intention for new energy for the new year.

Ko Im is a yoga teacher and meditation guide who loves to move mindfully through life. She edits NY Yoga + Life magazine and believes we can reset at any time.

Workshop Descriptions

3:00PM // Essential Oils + Goal Setting with Leanne Maciel

In this class we’ll cover the basics of essential oils, how to use them and their benefits. We’ll then explore the essential oils we can use to create abundance, focus and clarity as we identify specific behaviors to help us reach goals in three areas of life.

Leanne Maciel is the founder of Brew You Wellness - she’s a certified Health Coach, Yoga & Zumba Instructor, beer fan, and wine & food lover. She provides unique experiences to inspire women and men to create their own definition of wellness and quash the notion that health is about depriving ourselves of the things we love.

3:30PM // Energize Your Voice with Minna Taylor

Learn to share your voice and activate your presence with this high impact experiential training. We will explore vocal release technique, body activation exercises, and playful activities for building presence and unlocking your full potential.

Minna Taylor is the Founder of Energize Your Voice, an experiential professional development company, She is a trained actress and improvisor, who specializes in public speaking, speech, and vocal production. She empowers companies ranging from startups and nonprofits to Fortune 500 companies.

4:00pm // Love Your Body with Holly Toronto

Join Health and Body Image Coach, Holly Toronto, as she discusses how improving your body image and learning to accept yourself today can transform your health and ultimately your life.

During this workshop, we will:

  • Explore the importance of a positive body image on overall health and well-being
  • Learn new tools to promote self love and body positivity
  • How to leverage your relationship to your body so that you can claim the health and life you desire

Holly Toronto is a Certified Health Coach who supports women and men in finding freedom from body shame and food fixation. She uses a non-diet, pro-lifestyle approach that focuses on cultivating a healthy relationship to the body and food, while avoiding deprivation, restriction, guilt or shame. From this place, her clients are able to make empowered decisions for their health, feel amazing in their bodies and live the life they desire.
