About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

New Wave Your Behaviour (NWYB) is an energetic one-man show blending original pop music and storytelling to explore grief and mental health from an unmistakably Gen X perspective. Written and performed by seasoned Hamilton storyteller and musician Tor Lukasik-Foss, with direction and dramaturgy by Marilo Nuñez, NWYB offers an extremely accessible means to face the otherwise daunting topics of mental health, grief, and mortality. Tor's bringing this play to the Winnipeg and Edmonton Fringe this summer, and is thrilled to bring the show to Hamilton, to premiere a few of the extended features and production elements that have been added to the show!

“Tor Lukasik-Foss' New Wave Your Behaviour is a fascinating and hilarious account of how he found his way out of a mental health crisis by analyzing the archetypes within 1980s New Wave hits. With synthesizer and serenade, Tor spellbinds the audience with charisma, passion, and an unforgettable stage presence. This play is at once silly, powerful, and tightly written” (5 STARS) SEPTIMUS BROWN, VICTORIA FRINGE

“This show is tremendously well-written with sparkling turns of phrase, but it’s in the musical performances where Lukasik-Foss truly shines” (4.5 STARS). – JEN ZORATTI, WINNIPEG FREE PRESS
