New Visions: Setting Intentions for a Liberated Year
Overview
New Visions is an empowering workshop designed as a safe space for Black women and femme-identifying individuals to cultivate a space for reflection, release, and setting powerful intentions for the year ahead.
Join the Center for Black Literature & Culture (CBLC) alongside our friends at Best Life. During this interactive session, we will blend personal reflection, community dialogue, and hands-on vision boarding to help participants visualize the futures they’re cultivating for themselves and their communities.
The event is hosted by the Center for Black Literature & Culture and inspired by our mission to celebrate and amplify the voices, stories, and lived experiences of Black people across the African diaspora. Participants will also be introduced to selected books from the CBLC collection that explore themes of self-discovery, wellness, and purpose by Black women authors.
Participants will leave with:
- a clearer sense of their personal intentions for 2026
- a vision board representing their goals and dreams
- a list of empowering books by Black authors to accompany their self-work throughout the year
- a renewed sense of connection, affirmation, and community
