Join us for the kick-off talk in our new Bioplastics Recycling Cluster Talk series of expert-led online talks, focused on How to set up cost-competitive sorting and recycling schemes for bioplastics?
This event is part of a broader knowledge-sharing initiative by the ReBioCycle, MoeBIOS, and PROSPER EU-funded projects, aimed at building practical and scalable solutions for bioplastics recycling — from collection to manufacturing of new products.
In this first talk, we spotlight new technologies and digital tools that are transforming how bioplastics are identified and sorted in waste streams. You will hear insights from two leading experts in the field and MoeBIOS partners:
- Carles Musoll (PICVISA)
- Gemma Figuerola Miró (LEITAT )
Together, they will share innovations in near-infrared (NIR) sorting technologies and how AI and sensor-based systems are being adapted to improve the separation and recovery of bioplastics from mixed waste streams.
Format:
- 30-minute expert talk
- 15-minute live Q&A (not recorded)
Who should attend?
Researchers and innovators working on plastics recycling, circular economy, digital tools in waste management, or sustainable materials, from both the public and private sectors.
