This hands-on training will prepare you to operate child nutrition programs effectively. Our office will provide you with the materials and tools needed to manage the National School Lunch Program, School Breakfast Program and Afterschool Snack Program.

Do not skip this training if your charter school is new to operating child nutrition programs.

Who Can Attend? All charter school staff that will administer and/or operate child nutiriton programs.

Please bring a laptop or tablet, as this is a hands-on training session where you will need to access various online digital platforms.

This intensive training is specifically tailored for Charter School staff responsible for administering and operating the Child Nutrition Programs. Over the course of two days, participants will gain essential knowledge regarding the intricate rules and regulations governing the federally funded Child Nutrition Programs, as well as their obligations in implementing these guidelines. Your involvement in this training presents a valuable opportunity to enhance your ability to address the unique needs and challenges faced by Charter Schools participating in the National School Lunch Program, School Breakfast Program, and Afterschool Snack Program Some questions answered during the training include:

  • How do you know what to prioritize when managing the Child Nutrition Programs?
  • How to maintain program compliance with the regulations to avoid costly findings and required corrective actions?
  • How do you minimize the risk of non-compliance which may result in fiscal action?
  • What strategies help Charter Schools comply with program regulations
