About this event
- Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes
You’re not just tired. You’re the-world-is-too-much tired. And you’re not alone.
In Ayurveda — yoga’s sister science — the new moon is a sacred time to pause, soften, and restore. It’s not a time to hustle or even “start fresh” in the grind culture sense. It’s a time to simply lay down. That’s why we’re gathering again — to rest, reflect and recalibrate.
This community-centered offering blends simple seated movement, guided journaling, yoga nidra meditation and optional acupuncture in a warm, cozy space. No pressure. No fixing. Just deep relaxation that boosts your energy.
This is a 90-minute break, a community reclamation of your nervous system, your humanity and the radical belief that rest isn’t selfish. It’s how we build a more compassionate, connected world.
✨ This is for you if:
- You’re burned out from taking care of everyone else
- The news has you spiraling into doomscrolling and dread
- Your sleep is a mess, your nervous system is fried or your energy is drained
- You want to rest but don’t know how
- Your body feels stuck and your mind won’t stop running
🌀 What to expect:
- Gentle welcome + intention-setting
- Guided journaling + light movement to ground your energy
- A cozy yoga nidra meditation (think deep rest, not doing)
- Optional acupuncture mid-practice (zero experience needed)
- A gentle reawakening, plus time to share or simply sip tea and float away quietly
🧰 What to bring:
We’ve got 12 incredibly cozy recliner chairs ready for you, plus blankets to keep things soft and snuggly. All you need to do is show up in clothes you can fully relax in. If you’d like, bring:
- A journal/paper + pen
- Anything that makes you feel cozy and at home in your body
- An open heart — no performance, no perfection required
Let the moon remind you: You are worthy of rest.Join us for this new moon Yoga Nidra + Acupuncture event.

A deeply relaxing, trauma-sensitive form of guided meditation that eases you into meditation by relaxing your body, feeling into your breath, setting an intention and tapping into your inner sense of calm and ease.
Acupuncture is a gentle, safe, and drug-free way to relieve stress, pain, and tension. Most people feel little to no discomfort—just deep relaxation or a subtle sense of energy shifting. We use pre-sterilized, single-use needles for every treatment.
Probably! Acupuncture can support relief from insomnia, anxiety, chronic pain, menstrual issues, digestive upset, and more. At this event, you’ll receive a calming treatment designed to complement yoga nidra and support deep rest and recovery.
Not at all. This is a great first-time experience. James will explain everything and answer questions. You’re always welcome to opt out or skip the acupuncture portion if it doesn’t feel right for you.
Yes. Both James and Nicole use a trauma-informed approach to their healing modalities. You’ll have many alternatives for all the activities. Let us know your physical, mental or emotional challenge at checkout so we can be ready for you!
By prioritizing time to slow down, breathe deeply, and listen and respond to what our bodies and minds truly need, we can reduce stress and begin to choose regular rest practices that help us recover from burnout and prevent it from happening again.
