Description

The Research Symposium on “New Knowledge Environments in the Digital Humanities” to be held at the HIVE, Curtin University, will bring together presentations from Western Australian researchers and invited interstate and international speakers.

The symposium is broadly themed around heritage sciences, including imaging science for cultural heritage and will open on Monday afternoon, 12 December 2016, at the Cisco IoE Innovation Centre, located at Curtin University. This networking event offers the opportunity to connect with the invited speakers as well as researchers and distinguished guests. In conjunction with the opening of the symposium we will launch Prof. Erik Champion's book Critical Gaming: Interactive History and Virtual Heritage (Digital Research in the Arts and Humanities). Drinks and refreshments will be provided throughout this event.

The main symposium day will be on Tuesday 13 December 2016. We have 8 confirmed speakers scheduled for this day. Morning and afternoon tea will be provided. Attendees are welcome to join the speakers for lunch, however, this will be at their own expense.

For further information as well as a list of the invited speakers, talk titles and abstracts please visit the the symposium webpage.
