Description

New this year, the International Code Council is excited to provide this energy code class in conjunction with the 2018 National Energy Codes Conference. This new simplified course will provide real world best practices for effectively integrating the IECC into a department’s work flow. Learn where to start, and the first level of key items in the IECC to address. Participants will learn:

• Best Practices for Simplified Energy Code Enforcement – effective tools from other jurisdictions

• Simplified Energy Code Plan Review

• Simplified Residential Energy Code Inspection

Included with the course:

• Residential Intake Forms

• Simplified Residential Plan Review Forms

• Simplified Inspection Guide

This course prepares participants for the ICC Residential Energy Inspector/Plans Examiner test, offered online by the ICC Assessment Center.

About the 2018 National Energy Codes Conference
The 2018 National Energy Codes Conference, hosted by DOE, is scheduled for July 15-18 in Austin, Texas. Energy Codes 2018 presents a valuable opportunity to learn about all things energy codes and is applicable to building officials, designers, builders, policymakers and anyone working in the field.
