Neutral Ground's Nerdout

• This is a special NG event. An opportunity to meet people who share your interests and connect with fellow enthusiasts.
• Sign up for groups and activities if you have an interest in them. This is an event to enthusiasts to talk to enthusiasts.
• Please don’t sign up for activities unless you’re sure you can make it, space is limited.

This event will feature:

Boardgames

• Time to play some serious boardgames, also time to play some silly boardgames. Playing boardgames is the thing though. Unlike our normal events this will be a chance for you to bring your favourite games (preferably 0-2hrs) that you want to play with other boardgame aficionados.

Visual Novel and RPG Character Design

• Our very own Nova will be leading a discussion on character creation for roleplaying and video games. What makes a character interesting? What makes you want to know more? What makes you like, or dislike, a character?

LEGO Design

• Do you have a lot of toy bricks (LEGO, Mega Blocks, and other LEGO-clone brands) but have no idea what to do with them? Always wanted to build your own creation but don’t know how? At the NeutralGround Nerdout, we will have a toy brick build workshop where you can learn to DESIGN SIMPLE LEGO SETS with Bricklink Studio v.2.0.
• Come and watch the ‘Design Simple LEGO Sets’ 2 hours presentation by Let’s P.O.P.! – if you want to follow along, attendees will need to get ‘Studio Download [Bricklink]’ – free online (Google ‘Studio 2.0’) – installed onto their laptops (the app will not work on tablets and smartphones), and bring a mouse (this is important).

3D Printing Q&A

• Come and discuss, ask questions, and generally nerdout, about 3D Printing. We will have at least one printer onsite, and the atmosphere should be fun and welcoming.

Knitting and Crochet

• Spend some time knitting, crocheting and chatting with like-minded people.

Jigsaw Puzzles

• We’re aiming for at least two 750-1000 piece puzzles for people to get their teeth into. Meet some new friends or bring yours with you to have a pleasant day clicking the pieces together.

Painting Miniatures

• This is a space for model painters to bring their miniatures and models to paint. Bring your hints and tip, bring your minis, paints, and brushes. We also have two 40k patrols that could really do with a coat of paint. (Marines and Tyranids). If you’d like to help us paint them, let us know!
