NeuroPlay: Building Brain Bridges in the playroom

Join us at 2205 York Rd or Online on November 12, 2025 at 10:00 AM (Eastern Time) for an exciting event focused on enhancing brain development through play. NeuroPlay is all about exploring innovative ways to stimulate cognitive growth in children while having fun in the playroom!

This training introduces NeuroPlay, a neuroscience-informed approach to play therapy that enhances neural integration and promotes healing across developmental stages. Participants will learn how to translate complex neuroscience concepts into child-friendly language, apply regulation-based NeuroPlay interventions, and engage in experiential activities that strengthen emotional regulation, attachment, and problem-solving. Grounded in current neuroscience research, this training explores how trauma influences the developing brain and demonstrates how intentional play experiences can foster resilience, connection, and long-term growth.

Objectives:

  • Describe how trauma and stress impact neural development, particularly in regions related to regulation, attachment, and executive functioning.
  • Explain core neuroscience principles in child-friendly terms to enhance understanding and engagement in play therapy sessions.
  • Identify and implement regulation-based NeuroPlay interventions that support co-regulation, emotional expression, and integration.
  • Demonstrate experiential NeuroPlay activities designed to strengthen neural pathways that promote resilience, safety, and connection in children and adolescents.
