NeuroPlay: Building Brain Bridges in the playroom

Hey there! Join us at 2205 York Rd or Online on November 12, 2025 at 10:00 AM (Eastern Time) for an exciting event focused on enhancing brain development through play. NeuroPlay is all about exploring innovative ways to stimulate cognitive growth in children while having fun!

Neuroscience research demonstrates how trauma shapes the developing brain, particularly in regions linked to regulation, attachment, and problem-solving. This training introduces NeuroPlay, a neuroscience-informed approach to play therapy that strengthens neural connections and promotes healing. Participants will learn how to translate complex brain science into child-friendly language, integrate regulation-based NeuroPlay strategies, and engage in experiential activities that foster resilience, connection, and long-term growth.

Objectives:

  • Explain how trauma impacts the developing brain, particularly in areas related to regulation, attachment, and problem-solving.
  • Describe the principles of NeuroPlay as a neuroscience-informed approach to play therapy.
  • Demonstrate at least two NeuroPlay interventions designed to strengthen neural connections and support healing.
  • Apply regulation-based play therapy strategies to help children and adolescents build resilience and connection.
  • Translate complex neuroscience concepts into child-friendly language to enhance therapeutic engagement and understanding.
