About this event

Are you neurodivergent? Do you think you might be?

Are you interested in neurodiversity, professionally or personally?

Does neurodivergence sometimes make you feel like you don't fit in?

Do you sometimes think not fitting in is your fault, because you're different, weird, or have a "disorder"?

This isn't the only way to look at it. From another point of view, we're not defective, we're just different.

I'm therapist and writer Andrew Reichart, and I love helping people better understand neurodiversity.

This FREE event is a 60 minute Q&A session. I'll be accepting some questions in advance, and some live during the event.

Let's talk about what neurodiversity is, what it isn't, and what it means for how we view ourselves and the world.

Neurodiversity 101

We're not trained to think about people's minds this way, and it can be tricky to figure out exactly what is and isn't a neurodiversity-affirming way to look at things.

Whether you're completely new to the concept, or have seen the world this way for years, I can help answer questions about neurodivergence and how to affirm neurodiversity. With an affirming worldview, we can discuss how to address life's challenges in a way that doesn't blame us for everything.

Because this is such a vast topic, rather than having a general discussion, I'll be soliciting questions in advance and during the event, and selecting some of them to answer live.

About me:

I write, consult, and teach about neurodiversity. I work as a therapist, and most of my clients are neurodivergent.

I'm obviously neurodivergent, but I don't fit any criteria quite enough to qualify for one of the few established diagnoses.

One of the most satisfying therapeutic activities, for me, is helping my clients understand that the ways we don't feel "normal" aren't necessarily pathological.
