Networking Internally - Building Relationships at Work

We usually think of networking as building business relationships with people who don't work at the same company that we do.

However, as one woman executive said to me, the same things that helped you land the job won't necessarily help you to keep it. Once you're in the seat, you need people who can give you the corporate "tea", support your projects, and champion you when you're not in the room. You want to get that tap on the shoulder that enables you to move up.
