The Northeast Arkansas Regional Archives (NEARA) and Powhatan Historic State Park (PHSP) will be hosting a half-day personal archiving and phase-box making workshop from 8:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 24 at the schoolhouse building in Powhatan Historic State Park.

The workshop will teach people how to organize and preserve personal and family papers and how to make a phase box for archival storage.

Fatme Myuhtar-May, NEARA’s archivist, will present on caring for personal and family records. Zachary Elledge, PHSP interpreter, will demonstrate how to make a phase box to house artifacts.

The workshop is free, but registration is limited, so be sure to register early! Teacher certification credits are available.
