About this event
Due to the overwhelming success of our NDIS information sessions held in July, we are pleased to be offering it again this month to further engage with people with disability and their supports, in our community!
Empowered Together WA are proudly delivering projects for the Peer Support and Capacity Building (PSCB) grant for the NDIS. Together we're ensuring that people with disability keep accessing supports to build their skills and connect with others who have shared similar experiences. As local long-term residents of the Midwest & Gascoyne region, ETWA has strong connections to people and services, with significant experience in the industry and a deep passion for serving our community. Feel free to check out our Facebook page - ETWA Facebook page.
NDIS: Knowledge is Power! Information Session will be held on Thursday, 30th October 2025. This information session is aimed at people with disability and/or their family members or informal supports.
We are delivering this information session at two different time slots to ensure everyone can attend. Session times are 10.30am or 5.30pm.
This is being held at the Geraldton Multipurpose Centre, 250 Marine Terrace, Geraldton.
Registration is FREE but is required, please secure your ticket today!
This information session aims to explain:
- What the NDIS does / doesn't fund
- Translating the NDIS Pricing Document
- How to implement and make the most of your NDIS Plan
- Helpful tips and resources
ETWA recognises that everyone is an individual and active listening could look different for you. We strongly encourage attendees to bring their own activities that might help them focus, such as fidget toys, sensory activities, or any quiet activity to do while you listen. Active listening is encouraged but not mandatory, if you need to take a break or disengage, feel free to do so. We are committed to providing an inclusive environment for all attendees.
There will be:
- Summary of what you’ve learned to take home
- ACROD parking
- Wheel-chair accessible venue and toilets
- Event reminders leading up to the workshop
Other accomodations can be made if needed, please note what they are when registering.
Light refreshments with drinks will be provided. You are welcome to get up and down at any point in the workshop for snacks and drinks. If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know when registering so we can accommodate your needs.
