North Dakota Floral Design Certification Test
This rigorous certification exam is designed to evaluate floral designers through a surprise package format. Designers should have advanced skills and creative flair. All materials will be provided on-site, and designers must create five required arrangements within a four-hour time limit. Design categories include wedding, sympathy, vase arrangement, body flower, and duplicate design. Each participant must follow specific category instructions and showcase their mastery of floral design principles and elements under time pressure. e Additionally, a written exam will be given covering Elements and Principles, basic shop knowledge, and flower and plant ID. Completed designs will be evaluated against standardized criteria to determine if the candidate has achieved the NDCF North Dakota Certified Florist designation and qualifies to apply for the CFD certification with AIFD, American Institute of Floral Designers.
