Recently, the NCERT published the new Social Science Textbook for Grade 8 (Part 1), titled "Exploring Society: India and Beyond." The book has been widely discussed in the news and debated on TV channels. In this webinar, the speakers aim to highlight the salient features of the Grade 8 social science textbook and the rationale behind the changes in its content. The speakers will also attempt to clarify some of the hasty conclusions drawn by various popular commentators on the new NCERT textbooks.
