NBHRN Reform Pre-Conference Convening
Overview
Join the National Black Harm Reduction Network at our first national convening since becoming a standalone organization. We are gathering in Detroit during the Drug Policy Alliance’s Reform Conference, doing it the NBHRN way: rooted in Blackness, building power, and shaping a movement that is by us and for us.
This convening is more than a meeting. It is a homecoming for Black harm reductionists. Together, we will preview and sharpen NBHRN’s new leadership development training created for Black harm reductionists, making sure it reflects our truths and brilliance. We will strategize on the priorities our people need most, from keeping our communities alive to challenging criminalization and neglect.
Most importantly, this space is about connection. From Detroit to the South to the coasts, we will be linking arms with Black harm reductionists across the country. Isolated struggles will become collective power.
This is not just an invitation. It is a call to action. In a time when Black lives are still criminalized, punished, and disregarded, our survival depends on us standing together. Your vision, your lived experience, and your leadership will shape where we go from here.
