Navigating Tough Conversations

Navigating tough conversations at work is an essential skill, regardless of whether you're in a managerial role or an entry-level one. These discussions, often fraught with emotions and differing perspectives, can determine the future of relationships, team dynamics, and the overall health of an organization. For managers, mastering this skill can be the key to fostering trust, resolving conflicts, and ensuring team cohesion. For employees, it can mean expressing concerns without fear, advocating for oneself, and building strong professional relationships. Both roles require empathy, active listening, and a fluid approach to the targeted audience to ensure that the conversation leads to understanding and resolution.

The landscape of professional communication is extensive. One of our roles as HR professionals is to help our internal customers with the nuances of navigating challenging dialogues. Whether you are addressing performance concerns, resolving conflicts with peers, negotiating roles and responsibilities, or discussing sensitive matters, it's imperative that all parties approach these topics with preparation and care.

This program is designed for attendees to:

· Learn what makes conversations so tough in the first place

· Explore practical tips and strategies for both managers and employees

· Receive a framework for constructive, open, and effective communication; and

· Learn actual suggested language to use in given situations

Effective leaders can handle tough conversations. This session will offer you confidence, empathy, and assertive techniques to handle challenging circumstances. These abilities will enhance your leadership skills and help you manage challenging personnel. This program is for HR, Managers and Staff alike….so invite everyone!
