Speaker: Dr. Qwynn Galloway-Salazar (Doc Q)

Dr. Qwynn Galloway-Salazar (Doc Q) is the Founder and CEO of In Their Honor. As an Army Veteran, the spouse of a Combat Veteran, an End-of-Life Doula Educator, and a Storyteller, she has proudly devoted over two decades to enhancing the quality of life for military-connected communities. Qwynn established In Their Honor to collaborate with communities, states, academia, and organizations, ensuring that Veterans and their loved ones receive the care and support they need through the end of life.

As Psych/Armor's Senior Vice President of Engagement and Transformation, she extends her impact, leading efforts to broaden military cultural education and training nationwide. Notably, she served as the Lead Advisor for Psych/Armor’s groundbreaking “Caring for Veterans Through the End-of-Life Collection.” This three-part collection offers invaluable guidance and support for Compassionate Communities, Caregivers/Loved Ones, and Healthcare Providers.

In 2024, she was appointed to the End-of-Life Doula Council of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization. Additionally, she is a founding member of the Compassionate Communities Think Tank (U.S.), advocating for social change concerning community-based end-of-life support. Qwynn also serves on the Advisory Board for the Veterans Studies Association. In her spare time, she mentors doctoral-level students concentrating on supporting military and Veteran communities.

Recognized as one of USA TODAY's 2024 Women of the Year, she stands among 60 influential women driving meaningful change nationwide. A catalyst for a national movement, she has inspired communities to take action to address the end-of-life needs of Veterans. As a featured speaker at EndWell 2024, she captivated audiences with her powerful performance, Can I Trust You? Her impact has also been acknowledged by the Georgia Department of Veterans Services, naming her the inaugural Woman Veteran of the Year (2022–2023). These honors reflect her dedication, leadership, and commitment to creating lasting change for military-connected communities.
