This workshop explores the ethical considerations and profound effects of limiting reproductive rights on clients within therapeutic settings. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of how these restrictions can impact mental health, emotional well-being, and the therapeutic process. Through discussions, case studies, and practical strategies, participants will be better equipped to support clients navigating these challenges.

As a result of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Discuss the history and current legal landscape of reproductive rights in Louisiana
  • Identify the ethical implications and impacts of limiting reproductive rights on clients and the specific ways in which these restrictions affect diverse client populations
  • Develop strategies to support clients facing reproductive rights challenges
