Event description

Description

Chalkbeat New York is launching our listening tour, and this year we’d like especially to hear from parents of students with disabilities.

Parents, please join us on Wednesday, September 25, in Midtown for this free event, to share your insight and experiences of navigating New York City’s special education system. We know families often share the same questions and concerns as they try to get the services and support their children need. We also know that every family has their own story to tell.

Our goals as a nonprofit news organization are to learn more about the issues that matter to you, to understand what we should be investigating further, and to shed light on what we can.

We have limited space for this event, so please RSVP. Refreshments and interpreters will be provided. If you or someone who wants to attend needs an interpreter, please email us at ny.tips@chalkbeat.org so we can try to accomodate you.
