Description

Come one! Come All! The rallying cry for prevention. Join us for a free 2.5 hour speed course of the science of creating community change around youth substance use.

Prevention is the process of creating population-level change to improve overall health through decreasing risks, building on local strengths, and addressing norms and perceptions. The goal of this workshop is describe youth substance use prevention efforts at work in communities in Washington State to help those of you newer to this work align your activities and strategies with prevention principles. Preventing youth marijuana use will be a main focus of this workshop.


Who should attend: King County partners who have not attended a Washington Substance Abuse Prevention Systems Training (WA SAPST) or equivalent and are newer to community-based substance abuse prevention work.
