Overview

A workshop to help you manage overwhelm, regain steadiness, and take empowered action in uncertain political times.

Navigating Hopelessness through Liberation, Empowerment, and Creative Action

This workshop is designed to support individuals experiencing overwhelm, fear, or emotional fatigue in today’s political climate. Together, we’ll explore how external events impact our sense of safety, agency, and hope—and how to reclaim inner steadiness in the midst of it. Through grounded discussion, practical tools, and creative exercises, participants will learn how to shift from paralysis to purposeful action, reconnect with personal power, and embody the change they want to see in their lives and communities. This session offers space for reflection, resilience-building, and creating meaningful pathways forward for yourself and your family.

***Pre-lecture and home activities ready: 11/15 and can be viewed anytime prior to the 11/22 workshop. You must complete the pre-lecture prior to attending the live workshop. ***

***11/22 (Saturday) from 2pm - 3:30 pm EST/ 9 am to 10:30 am HST – Live workshop via Zoom***

Replay of the workshop available for view after 11/24. This is an option if you would like to participate and create a personal toolkit but cannot attend the live workshop. The fee for workshop participants is $75. All monies earned will be used to provide mental health services to people who are currently experiencing hardship and do not have access to funds or medical insurance.

Pre-Lecture
A brief session that introduces core themes, sets expectations, and gives you a shared framework for navigating hopelessness and reconnecting with your inner power.

2. Homeplay Activities
Simple pre-workshop reflections to warm up your inner world. These may include short journaling prompts, a values check-in, a personal emotional “weather report,” or a small creative exercise. The goal is to increase self-awareness and prepare you for deeper work.

3. Main Workshop (11/22 at 9 am HST)
An interactive experience where you’ll explore your nervous system responses, reframe power during difficult times, create or explore community, practice creative problem solving, and identify personal stabilizers and supportive rituals. By the end, you’ll create your own toolkit to use whenever you feel stuck, overwhelmed or hopeless in light of the political landscape.
