Nature Weaving at the Botanical Gardens
Overview
Step into the gentle calm of the Noosa Botanical Gardens for our next pop-up workshop designed to reconnect you with the natural world.
In this warm, supportive session, we will gather materials—leaves, grasses, seed pods, bark, flowers and branch offcuts and weave them into simple stick looms crafted from natural fibres and found wood.
Together, we’ll pause to acknowledge and express gratitude for the land that holds us, honouring the natural environment that generously offers these incredible textures, colours and materials that will shape our art.
This workshop invites you to slow down, attune to the environment, and allow nature itself to guide your hands.
As we collect materials mindfully, we practise grounding and noticing the quiet rhythms, sensations and subtle beauty of the gardens.
The practice focuses on presence, expression, and the value of connecting with both our community and environment.
Participants of all ages and creative backgrounds are welcome, absolutely no experience needed.
Come, walk, gather, weave, and let the landscape inspire you.
