Naturalists at the Ney: Talk with Chuck Foster
By Elisabet Ney Museum
Overview
Come out to the Elisabet Ney Museum for an engaging presentation about the role of sensory gardens in Central Texas.
Join East Austin native Chuck Foster — a Texas Master Naturalist, gardener, and landscape designer — for a lively talk on the vital role insects play in our local ecosystems. From bees to beetles, Chuck will share how Texas insects connect with our yards, parks, and neighborhoods, and how you can create inviting spaces for them. With practical tips and natural insight, you’ll leave ready to support biodiversity right outside your door — even for the bugs you’re not too sure about. Participants will also create their own scientific illustration using resin-cast specimens and watercolors.
