Overview

Native Wildflower Seed Sowing Workshop

Did you know that the middle of Winter is best time of the year to start native wildflowers from seed for your garden?

Join us for this hands-on workshop with botanist Patty Butter and learn how to grow wildflowers from seed. We will discuss the ecological benefits of native wildflower gardens and techniques for seed sowing and growing your own plants.

Please bring two clear plastic containers with lids (like the ones that salad greens are sold in) to upcycle for this project. Seeds and soil will be provided.

The event will take place in the Art Gallery at the Visitor’s Center. Ages 10+.

Cost: $5 per person
