Join The Nature Conservancy (TNC) to help collect native seeds in the Virginia Pinelands! TNC is working to conserve historic loblolly and longleaf pine forests and the variety of life they support across the Virginia Pinelands. With partners, we have started a groundcover & pollinator habitat restoration project to increase the pace and scale that native grasses and wildflowers spread, and we need your help!

Volunteers must be comfortable walking in forested conditions and bending to collect seed.

Please wear long sleeve pants and shirts, and sturdy closed toes boots or shoes as the ground can be slippery or wet. Bring water, lunch and bug spray if desired. Mosquitos and ticks are common in this area.

This is a rain or shine event, but we will cancel if storms are severe.

If you have any questions, please contact Brynna Strand at brynna.strand@tnc.org.
