Native Garden in Autumn: Fall Planting & Seed Saving workshop

Join the Park District and volunteer, including native plant enthusiast Esta O’Neil, for a hands-on workshop exploring how to care for native gardens in the fall season.

Learn the benefits of planting in autumn, techniques for collecting and saving seeds from native plants, and tips to support pollinators and biodiversity year-round. Participants will gain practical knowledge to apply at home and help prepare our native garden for the seasons ahead.

This program is perfect for gardeners, nature lovers, and anyone interested in supporting native habitats. Free seed collection in the garden will be included!

The program will be canceled in the event of inclement weather. Please dress appropriately for outdoor conditions. An adult must accompany all children under 12.
