National Fossil Day

Celebrate National Fossil Day in the Mountains!

Joins us for a prehistoric adventure and become a Junior Paleontologist! In honor of National Fossil Day, we're inviting visitors of all ages to discover what's hidden in the rocks beneath our feet . . .

Event will be taking places on October 11, 2025, at the Anthony C. Beilenson Visitor Center from 10am to 2pm.

Enjoy a day filled with:

• Channel Island Pygmy Mammoth talks with Susan Morris (11:00AM and 1:00PM)
• Junior Paleontologist booklets and badge-earning challenges
• Fossil displays
• Fossil-themed crafts
• National Park Information

Special Guest, Channel Island National Park will be joining us to celebrate fossils at both parks!
