National Consortium of Line Dance Instructors - Certification Program

Seasoned line dance instructors with 105 hours of instruction over 18 mos are welcome to attend. 2 Days and 12 hours of professional training to obtain certification. September 12th is from 8:am - 2:00pm on Zoom. September 13th is a tappin' good time on the dance floor at the Transfiguration Parish, 13925 New hampshire Ave from 8:am - 2:00pm. Meet fellow line dance enthusiastic instructors to learn legal dance aspects, mindfullness, business concepts, teaching techniques, music appreciation, actual dance techniques and more. 1. Where can an attendee park?

Ample parking at the Church and on the street.

2. Who can apply for the certification program?

Any dance instructor, especially line dance instructors. Each instructor must have 105 hours of teaching experience that was gained over a minimum of 18 months.

3. What is presented at the completion of the training session?

Each instructor is awarded a Certification Certificate, laminated photo Identification card, Training professional documentation, formal Booklet of Dance Terms.

4. Are there any other requirements needed to attend?

Each instructor must have a valid CPR card, present a video displaying them teaching dance students.

5. What are training protocols for each day?

Day 1 - September 12th the session is presented on Zoom from 8am - 2pm. Must be on the Zoom and seen. Day - 2 the session is held onsite at the church. Must be in attendance all day. Each instructor will be required to learn several line dances prior to the training on September 13th.

What are the components contained in the 12 hour training.

Day 1 - Legal Aspects of Instruction. Small Business Entrepreneurship. Health & Wellness. Training Techniques. How to develop/implement a dance showcase performance. Day 2 - Music Appreciation. Dance appreciation, execution and technical mastery.
