2.30pm: Retention practices for 2024/25 - what is changing and what is having an impact?

In a downmarket, how are real estate investment management firms retaining key talent withy little to no promote? How are firms innovating through real estate cycles? Through whole room Q&A, NAREIM members share insights into the following issues:

  • Carried interest allocations for newly raised vehicles. Which functional groups are being included and how do firms align widening carried interest allocations during tougher fundraising periods?
  • Retention for senior leaders. What are the key tools for retaining key personnel in today's market?
  • Communication strategies in 2024/25. How are firms communicating compensation and carried interest trends as they look to year-end 2024 and Q1 2025?
