Come join us at the Baltimore UnderGround Science Space (BUGSS) for an exciting event on Nanopore Sequencing! Dr. Franck Dumetz of the University of Maryland School of Medicine will join us to review the theory of Nanopore sequencing, discuss its advantages over other sequencing methods, explore its potential applications, and then lead us in some hands-on work to see how these palm-size sequencers are enabling accessible and low-cost sequencing in a wider range of applications and contexts. Frequently asked questions

How do I find BUGSS?

We are located at 101 N Haven St in the King, Cork, and Seal building. You can park in any of the unmarked spots in the small gated lot at the northern end of the building. BUGSS is located just off that parking lot in Suite 105.

Is there additional parking?

If the small parking lot is full, there is also a much larger one at the southern end of the building that you can use, but you need to go back out to Haven St and through the small gated lot to get to us (you can't go through the building).
