Gain awareness of the opioid public health crisis and the overdose epidemic and how to recognize and respond to an opioid overdose.
Who is eligible to attend this course?
First Responders may register for this course at no cost, participants will receive a supply of naloxone to support their community. First Responders include: (Law Enforcement Officers, Jailers, CBP officers, Firefighters, EMS personnel, Nurses, School Nurses, School Officers, and Crisis Workers)
Developed specifically for First Responders, this course will provide a foundational understanding of the opioid public health crisis and the overdose epidemic and how to recognize and respond to an opioid overdose.
What You Will Learn
- Acquire a foundational understanding of the opioid public health crisis and the overdose epidemic
- Recognize the signs of an opioid overdose
- Demonstrate how to administer the intranasal opioid overdose reversal drug naloxone
