This special event highlights the incredible work of our year-long citywide Urban NEST Workforce Fellows and High School SUN Interns at Forest Park, Queens and the Greenbelt in Staten Island who have been conducting environmental research across NYC’s urban natural areas.

Whether you’re a family member, program partner, or supporter of NAC workforce development this is a unique opportunity to:

🌱 Hear local college and high school students speak on their novel culminating projects

🧠 Explore posters and engage with the next generation of environmental leaders

🌇 Connect with members of a like-minded community on current urban ecological research

🤝 Support peer-to-peer mentorship and science communication 💬 Celebrate a summer of hands-on learning and urban conservation

Run of show: 

  • 2:30 – 2:40 PM- Opening remarks
  • 2:40 – 3:00 PM - Elevator pitches and presenter introductions
  • 3:00 – 4:30 PM Poster session: walkaround and Q&A
  • 4:30- 5:00 PM Closing Remarks and certificates
  • 5 - 5:30 PM Wrap Up and Goodbye
