96 Years of Fighting for Civil Rights on the Main LineThe NAACP Main Line Branch is proud to announce its 96th Annual Freedom Fund Luncheon, to be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at the Desmond Hotel in Malvern, PA. This year’s theme, “Act NOW, Resist Always,” calls on us to continue the urgent work of justice with courage, conviction, and community solidarity.
The event will honor the outstanding contributions of leaders and organizations whose work embodies the fight for civil and human rights across the Main Line and beyond. This year’s distinguished honorees include:
- Commissioner Jamila H. Winder
- Mr. and Mrs. Kyle and Joni Helton
- Ms. Crystal Blunt
- Ms. Linda Heller, Esq.
- Reverend Mark I. Salvacion
- St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, Ardmore
- Radnor A Better Chance, Inc.
Each of these honorees has made a powerful impact in the areas of education equity, racial justice, immigrant advocacy, disability rights, community empowerment, and inclusive ministry. Their work represents the enduring legacy of civil rights advocacy and the spirit of collective resistance that defines our branch.
This year’s celebration is especially meaningful as it builds upon nearly a century of civil rights leadership by the NAACP Main Line Branch. Since 1929, our branch has fought tirelessly for desegregation, fair housing, voting rights, and equal opportunity, standing as a beacon of progress and a force for change across generations.
The Freedom Fund Luncheon is more than just a celebration, it is a call to action. It is a time to honor our shared history, recognize today’s trailblazers, and inspire the next generation of freedom fighters.
We warmly invite you to be part of this historic occasion. Together, let us act boldly, resist injustice, and continue the fight for equity and dignity for all.
