Join us for a casual adoptee-only conversation about healing!
Tuesday, March 24th on Zoom!
5pm PST / 7pm CST / 8pm EST
Topic:
“My Experience With Internal Family Systems (IFS)” With Adoptee, Cassidy Graber.
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is an approach to psychotherapy that identifies + addresses multiple sub-personalities or families within each person’s mental system.
These sub-personalities consist of wounded parts + painful emotions such as anger + shame + parts that try to control + protect the person from the pain of the wounded parts.
The sub-personalities are often in conflict with each other + with one’s core Self, a concept that describes the confident, compassionate, whole person that is at the core of every individual.
IFS focuses on healing the wounded parts + restoring mental balance + harmony by changing the dynamics that create discord among the sub-personalities and the Self.
This event will be a casual discussion where Cassidy will share her journey with Internal Family Systems, how she found it + what it has done for her on her adoptee healing journey.
After that we would love to open up the conversation for discussion + give time for others to share or ask questions!
Healing is vital for adoptees + when we share our stories in safe places, other adoptees are able to learn + heal, too.
