Join us for a casual adoptee-only conversation about healing!
Thursday, January 22nd at 7pm Central, 8pm Eastern.
Topic:“My Experience With Brain Spotting” With Adoptee Regina Faridnia.
Regina Guthrie Faridnia, LCSW is the primary therapist/clinician at Indigena Counseling & Wellness Center. Regina earned her MSW in 1997 at the University of Washington. In 1999, she became an LCSW in Louisiana + in 2010, she obtained her LCSW in California. In 2024, she received a Doctorate + PhD in Integrative Medicine. Regina is originally from Louisiana + is a member of the United Houma Nation tribe. In her spare time, she participates in hula + her local native community.
Regina is available to provide somatic psychotherapy, consultation, Brainspotting training + also has a wellness oriented practice. She is a SEP (Somatic Experiencing Practitioner) + a Brainspotting Trainer/Consultant. She is also trained in NADA Protocol/Acudetox.
Somatic approaches allow the brain + nervous system to process issues + move towards regulation without the need for talk to occur.
What this means is that neuroscience + brain-based techniques will be integrated into the process. This helps the body + mind to move toward health + regulation naturally.Your unique system is honored. Shifts tend to happen organically + can be better sustained than with traditional talk therapy approaches.
This event will be a casual discussion where Regina will share how she got into brain spotting, how it works + how it can help adoptees.
After that we would love to open up the conversation for discussion + give time for others to share or ask questions!
Healing is vital for adoptees + when we share our stories in safe places, other adoptees are able to learn + heal, too.
