The Free Black Women's Library is a grassroots funded literary hub, social site, Black Feminist archive, and community care space that features over 5000 books by Black women and Black non-binary folks, as well as a wide range of free public programs, special events, and creative workshops, a free store, period pantry, backyard garden, virtual reading club, and weekly book swap.

2025 is coming to a close, and what a year it has been!!
There were highs and lows, lessons and blessings, wins and losses - let us take some time out to asses our 2025 (and craft clarity in our aims for 2026 )through a fun and engaging zine making session.
Participants are invited to craft mini memoirs and micro prose , as well as collage and craft images, graphics and text for our unique
We will have all the tools and supplies neccesary to create you perzine for the year session. You are also welcome to bring your own specialty papers and cut images that we can turn into stickers for your piece.
This workshop is led by OlaRonke Akinmowo, Creator/Director of The Free Black Women's Library.
*A suggested donation of five dollars cash to cover cost of materials and printing will be collected at the door.
