About this event

  • Event lasts 7 hours

Join the MWBA volunteer team for a fun day of riding, learning, and trail stewardship!

MWBA is working on tread and brushing projects on the Gabrielino Trail for this months public stewardship day. This remote stretch of trail just upstream of the Ken Burton junction is overdue for attention after a few months of closure following the Eaton Fire. Absolutely no trail work experience is required to join us for this event.

Park in the JPL East Lot at 8am for sign in and a safety briefing. We will head up the trail in groups, regrouping along the way as we climb up to the work site.

As always, no trail work experience is necessary to join us on trail! We will provide the tools and guidance for a fun, safe, and productive day in the forest.

Please bring the following in preparation for a day out on the trail:

  • An off-road bicycle in good mechanical condition to get you to the worksite along the Gabrielino trail
  • Trail work clothing: long sleeve shirt, long pants, sturdy shoes, eye protection are required. Feel free to change at the worksite after our ride in.
  • A hydration pack or backpack able to carry provided lunch, water and snacks while working on the trail.
  • Water and snacks to keep you feeling good for 5-6 hours in the sun

If its your first time joining us, or not sure what to expect, check out our link below:

  • Regroup for ride back to start point starting at 1:00pm
