About this event

Through this workshop, participants will gain the skills to cultivate mushrooms at home using recyclable materials, reducing their carbon footprint. Mushrooms can thrive on organic waste such as food scraps, compost, cardboard, coffee grounds, sawdust, and agricultural by-products—materials that would otherwise contribute to landfill waste and greenhouse gas emissions.

By repurposing these waste products as growing substrates, we help divert waste from landfills, lower methane emissions, and combat climate change. Furthermore, home mushroom cultivation requires minimal energy and water compared to traditional agriculture, making it an environmentally sustainable practice.
