Instructor - Eric Lavaliere
Eric Lavaliere brings 20+years of professional screen printing experience to our shop. Eric has built his brand Momentum Screen Print to offer a wide range of products from t-shirts to art prints. As an instructor, Eric offers students a wealth of detailed knowledge regarding the technical and creative aspects of screen printing.
Class Description
Do you already know how to prepare a screen and pull a print? Are you ready to try multi-color printing? Join this class to learn the skills required to use our 4 color press.
If you don’t know how to print, check out our Introduction to Screen Printing Class to learn the basics.
Learn how to align multiple screens, using multiple colors to produce stunning, repeatable results.
Our experienced instructor will guide you through the process of printing a multicolor screen print using registration and alignment techniques on our 4-color press.

Class Goals
- Learn industry standard processes used to register, align, and create multi- color prints using a 4-color press.
- Practice the multi-color screen printing process under the guidance of a professional screen printer with 20+ years of experience in process screen printing
- Our instructor will demonstrate techniques that you will be able to try in class.
- This is a skill-based class as opposed to a product-based class
- Students are NOT expected to take home a product at the end of class.
- Students are expected to leave class with the skills needed to practice multi-color screen printing on their own.
- This class does NOT teach the basic beginning steps of screen printing such as preparation of screens and use of our darkroom.

- All designs and screens will be prepared ahead of time by our instructor
- Student submitted designs will NOT be accepted for this class.
- Topics covered in class include aligning registration marks and outlines, taping out center lines, trapping, spread/choke, color swatches, CMYK and RGB color process.
Material Supplied
All designs, screens, printing supplies supplied by the instructor.
Students Should Bring
Please wear closed-toe shoes and clothing you do NOT mind getting ink on. Screen printing can be messy, please dress accordingly.
Be prepared to take notes in whatever format you prefer.
Prerequisites
All students must be 18 years old or older.

Frequently asked questions
Students may withdraw from a class up to 7 days prior to the start of the class via Eventbrite’s refund feature. In extenuating circumstances, students may contact education@artisansasylum.com to request an exception.
To request a class or ticket transfer, either use the “contact the organizer” feature offered by Eventbrite or email Education@artisansasylum.com with your name, ticket information, and transfer request. Transfer requests are approved on a case-by-case basis.
Artisans Asylum reserves the right to cancel or reschedule classes in the event the minimum number of students for the class is not reached, an emergency, such as illness, weather, or other unforeseen circumstances. Communication for canceled and rescheduled classes is sent via email.
If another class is available at a later date, or if the class has been rescheduled, your class fee will automatically apply to the next class session unless the session is already full or you specifically request a refund. No refunds are given for changes to location or Instructor.
All students under 18 must be accompanied by and under the direct supervision of an adult.
We occasionally capture photos of students during our classes to use in promotional materials, online, and on social media platforms. By enrolling in a class, you are giving us permission to do so.
