Event description
A public meeting and community update on Phase 2 of the Muddy River Restoration Project

About this Event

The historic Muddy River parks in Boston and Brookline, part of Frederick Law Olmsted’s Emerald Necklace, have been undergoing a major facelift after decades of neglect. In Phase I, the Muddy River was made visible by daylighting in the Landmark Center area with new culverts and bridges added at the Riverway and Brookline Avenue.

Join us to learn the latest from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the Town of Brookline and the City of Boston about Phase 2 of the Muddy River Restoration Project, the Carlton Street Footbridge Rehabilitation and the Muddy River parks!

Speakers:

Chris Cook, Chief of Environment, Energy and Open Space, City of Boston

Erin Gallentine, Director of Parks and Open Space, Town of Brookline

Wendy Gendron, Chief, Civil Works Branch, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers New England District

This is a FREE event. Light refreshments will be provided.
