Surgery can be stressfull. Cases can sometimes be tricky. Part of the challenge in becoming an ophthalmologist and a suggessful early career attending is overcoming the stress and anxiety associated with eye surgery.
When you have stress, it means you care. But it's important to learn resiliency and composure in the operating room so that you can focus and help the patient when things don't go quite as soothly as planned. The AAO recently put out an entire article on the topic here...check it out!
Come hear about challenging surgical cases and the importance of resiliency from three academic ophthalmologists, complete with surgical videos and case discussion.
