Keynote Speakers:

• Daniel Adler, Assistant General Manager of the Minnesota Twins, is responsible for heading up the club’s Baseball Research and Development efforts, and is involved in all facets of baseball operations, including arbitration, roster construction, athletic performance, player acquisition and player development. Daniel previously worked for Boston Consulting Group, focusing on assessing the firm’s internal analytic capabilities. In March of 2012, he was hired by the Jacksonville Jaguars of the NFL to launch and direct a newly created football Research and Development department, one of the first of its kind in the NFL.

• Dan Cho is the Senior Director of Operations at Tempo and Chief of Staff to the CEO where he leads a number of teams under the analytics and operations functions and directly scaled the company from 20 to 160 employees over the past 12 months. He graduated from Columbia University and holds an MBA & MPH from UC Berkeley. Prior to Tempo, he worked at a number of healthcare and consumer tech companies in roles with a deep blend of operational, strategic, and analytical components.

• Shruti Gandhi is the founder and managing partner of Array Ventures, an early stage venture capital fund that focuses on solving pressing problems in large industries using data, AI, and ML. Shruti has led investments in over 60 early stage companies with 6 exits to companies such as Apple, Paypal, ServiceNow, and The We Company. Prior to Array she invested for True Ventures and Samsung Next Fund and was an engineer at IBM. She is an adjunct CS professor at Columbia University.

• Derek Steer is the co-founder and CEO of Mode, a data analysis platform that brings data scientists and business users together to solve their hardest problems and drive action. Before Mode, Derek worked in Analytics at Facebook and Yammer.
