About this event

Arts • Literary Arts

Moving Words is about attuning to our creative abilities and not only practicing literary skills and finding our unique voices, but building up our intuitive muscles so we can more easily access our creativity. We will do a little bit of qigong (Chee-gong) movement to help get our blood flowing and release chronic tension that comes with the writing process. Then we will do a short meditation that will focus our listening inward, to the intuitive voice within. Finally, we will use the Amherst Writers and Artists Method, doing prompted writing which we can then share and get supportive feedback on. Whether you're new to writing, want to work on a larger project, or just want to strengthen your techniques, this class will inspire your creativity! A $10-$12 material fee is due to Instructor on the first day of class. Pre-registration is required.
